Jaguars gave the Gladiators a hard-fought, hard-hitting game in the rain and mud.  Although the Jags eventually lost 0-30, the Gladiators had to fight for everything they got, and the Jaguars forced more than a few Gladiator turnovers.

(Right)  Tyler (18, right foreground) sacrifices himself to stop the Bronco runner, taking a hit that put him out for most of the rest of the game. Left to right—Roger (81), Onaj'ee (8), Dominic, Justin, Tyler, Omar (86), Hunter (22).

(The rain also caused a smaller number of game photos, since our team photographer/mom had to keep the camera covered with plastic and sometimes had to put it under her poncho and stop shooting entirely during heavy downpours!)

Andrew (27), Brian, and Jacob wait for the defense to be called onto the field during a very wet game.

Jaguars slog through the rain and mud.  Left to right—Colin (76), Dominic.

Gladiator defense tries to get through the Jaguar's offensive line.  Left to right—Andrew (27), Will, Justin (94), Omar (86), Trenton (4).

Barrington (7) runs around the end after Trenton's (4) handoff.  Also—Onaj'ee (8).

Hunter waits for the Gladiators to kick off.  Also—Trenton (in the background).

Jaguars and Gladiators pile up.  Left to right—Trey (9), Justin, Will.

Time outs can still be fun even in a wet game like this one.  Left to right—Roger (81), Andrew, Coach Stevens, Justin, Will (13, Coach Ollie, Colin (76), Dominic (96).

Coach George (center) instructs the Jag defense during time out.  Left to right—Trey (9), Barrington (7), Trenton (4), Jacob (5), Brian (74).

Brian's brother, Daniel, takes it easy under his dad's tent as he enjoys a hot dog and a ring pop (no, it's not a pacifier) out of the almost constant rain.  The tent came in handy for keeping everyone's equipment reasonably dry . . . and later for keeping an injured Tyler (18) warm and comfortable.

Tyler (18, right foreground) sacrifices himself to stop the Bronco runner, taking a hit that put him out for the rest of the game.  (It was following this play that Brian's dad's tent kept Tyler warm and dry as he recovered from quite a bump to the head.)  Left to right—Roger (81), Onaj'ee (8), Dominic, Justin, Tyler, Omar (86), Hunter (22).

Onaj'ee (8) causes a Gladiator fumble, which Hunter (far right) recovers.  Left to right—Roger (81), Omar (86), Onaj'ee, Justin (94), Hunter.

Brian (74), Justin, and Dominic (96) cause another Gladiator fumble.  Left to right—Colin, Omar (86), Brian, Justin, Dominic.

Jacob (5), Brian, and Tyler's brother check on the injured Tyler (18) after the game.
