Chicken Enchilada Casserole


1 medium onion, chopped 
3  tablespoons butter
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup chicken broth
1 small can chopped green chilies
1 chicken, cooked and deboned
1 package corn tortillas
1 pound longhorn cheese


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Brown onions in butter and combine with soups, broth, and chilies.  Add chicken and stir..   In a large casserole dish, place layer of tortillas, layer or chicken mix, and a layer of cheese.  Repeat layers.   Bake at 30 minutes at 350 degrees.


This is an excellent casserole and is great for potluck dinners, as well as for a special family treat!
