Frosted Peanut butter Bars

Cookie
1 cup margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup peanut butter
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups quick oats

Frosting
3 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons peanut butter
2 teaspoons vanilla

Cream the first 6 ingredients.  Add the final 4 ingredients, mixing well.  Cookie dough will be thick.  Spread cookie dough on a large, greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.  Meanwhile, combine all frosting ingredients (will be fairly stiff), mix well and spread on slightly warm cookies.  Cut and serve.

A great recipe that is reminiscent of elementary school days.  Even non-peanut butter lovers will like this recipe!
