Grandma Ola's Egg Noodles
3 eggs, beaten stiff
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
flour to make dough
In medium bowl, beat eggs until stiff peaks form. Add salt and
baking powder and mix well. Gradually add flour until the batter is
not sticky. Roll the dough out very thin and let dry. When the
dough is dry to the touch, carefully roll it up, jellyroll style, and then
cut into thin strips.
These egg noodles, made by Todd's great-grandmother Ola (Viola Gares), were the best
he had ever tasted. She usually cooked them in the gravy from a roast.
